FRONT ROYAL -- The Warren County Educational Endowment raised $15,000 for county schools during its recent golf tournament.

The tournament was held May 25 at Jackson's Chase Golf Course, according to a news release issued by the Warren County Educational Endowment.

The major sponsor was United Bank.

Warren County Administrator Douglas P. Stanley, president of the Warren County Educational Endowment, says in the release that the group feels a strong commitment to help out the local school system.

"At this time of deep cuts to education budgets, the Warren County Educational Endowment feels a compelling commitment to our mission of helping the local school system support high level and creative programs for our children." Stanley says. "The Warren County Publlic School System has had to make some difficult decisions in dealing with budget issues and needs our support more than ever."
