Teeing off for Warren Co. Public Schools
In Warren County, folks teed off to raise money for public schools.
It was the Warren County Educational Endowment's golf tournament fundraiser.
More than 20 teams competed today. The organization has raised close to $200,000 since it began. The money goes straight to public school programs.
Organizers say in the past, they've been able to fund a pre-engineering program at the two county high schools and various after school tutoring programs.
“To help serve as a catalyst to continue to improve the excellence of Warren County public school. We select projects that are creative and innovative and that's what we're trying to fuel is innovative programs within the school system,” say Mary Anne Biggs and Melanie Barber from the WCEE.
Organizers tell TV3, they raised more than $15,000 Wednesday.
